Mount Nebo Miami Memorial Gardens was established in the 1950s and is widely recognized as the oldest Jewish cemetery in South Florida. Located at 5505 NW 3rd Street in Miami, just minutes from Miami International Airport, it sits on thirty beautifully maintained acres and serves as a historically significant landmark for the South Florida Jewish community.
The grounds feel more like a park than a traditional cemetery, featuring a mix of oak, mahogany, black olive, and palm trees. In keeping with Jewish law, all in-ground burials take place in a single level. Popular sections include the Gardens of Benjamin, David, Isaiah, and Abraham. Mount Nebo also offers two communal mausoleums for above-ground entombment and niche spaces for cremated remains. As a member of the Dignity Memorial network, Mount Nebo is committed to honoring Jewish traditions and customs in all aspects of its service.
